We've been quietly building something over the last few months that’s finally at the point where we’d like to get a few more developers into it.
It’s called HQ COMMAND.

The whole thing came from running into the same problem repeatedly across indie projects. Important ideas disappearing into Discord threads, task boards slowly becoming graveyards, documentation living across five different places, and project management tools never really feeling built for the way game teams actually work.
So I started building something specifically around indie game development workflows.
Still early, still evolving quickly, but the foundation’s now in a good place and I’d really value feedback from people actively making games.
Already have a GDD and don't want to type it all out, no problem you can upload your GDD and it will auto populate the relevant areas for you!

A few areas I’m especially interested in hearing thoughts on:
overall usability
project structure and organisation
team workflows
features that feel genuinely useful vs unnecessary noise
anything missing that you wish existed elsewhere
If you'd like to take a look: https://hqcmd.vercel.app/
Would genuinely appreciate honest feedback, especially from teams currently deep in development. If you find bugs or want to suggest features you can find that on the roadmap page.
A lot of what comes next will be shaped directly from how people actually use it.

Here you can see the project workstation and all the things we are trying to help you manage.
A quick daily team chat.
Manage, create and assign (or self assign!) tasks/todos.
Log events and or deadlines.
Share important links to your website or other refs you need regularly.
Your entire GDD, including extensive story management (Next image below).
Run and log playtests!
Manage all asset production needs.
Keep a diary to log special moments, milestones, wins or learnings!
Manage team applications and agreements all within this one platform!

Story And Settings Studio!
Story and settings can be a huge part of a game, especially narrative driven games.
So lets open the Studio and see what's inside...

As you can see you get to manage EVERYTHING!!
Worldbuilding, for locations, deep lore, factions and rules that govern this world.
Characters, appearance, backstory, relationships, age, height, you name it, it's covered!
Story Arcs
Dialogue
Timelines for those births, deaths and global events.
And lastly a little scratchpad for any notes you need to make that may or may not become important later on as you build.
We are very excited to hear what you think, and we need your help to kill the bugs and make sure this works and serves you well.
See you on the platform.
The GDL Team.
