ABOUT GDLX
Game Dev Local (GDL) has hosted GDLX since 2021, and it has grown every year since. What started as a community meetup is now one of the UK's leading indie games events, a full day celebrating the creativity, ambition and community behind independent games. GDLX is about more than showcasing great games. It's about making connections, sharing what we know, and backing the people who make indie games happen. Every year we curate a lineup of playable games, talks and panels covering every side of game development, from design and code to art, audio, marketing and careers. For developers, GDLX is a chance to put their game in front of players, meet fellow creators and connect with industry professionals, publishers and partners. For players, it's a chance to discover new titles and hear straight from the teams who made them. One of the highlights of the day is the GDL Indie Awards, which celebrate the best of UK indie talent. Developers can nominate their own games, and winners are announced at our awards ceremony, just before the legendary GDLX industry after-party. Whether you're a seasoned developer, a student looking for your way in, or a fan hunting for your next favourite game, there's a place for you at GDLX. Come to play, learn, meet your people and leave inspired.
